Taiwanese single malt whisky from the Kavalan range, matured in casks that have previously held both red and white wine. Very intriguing indeed – and very impressive too.
Nose: Vanilla and caramelised sugars with dark chocolate on top. Ripe melon and mango.
Palate: Kiwi and a delicate blend of citrus fruits burst. Pepper is also present in the background waiting to be noticed.
Finish: Clean and complex hints of chocolate and ripe fruit.
