Chateau du Chatelard Beaujolais Fleurie 'Les Vieux Granits' 2015

“Weathered ancient pink granite. Bush vines up to 75 years old. Partly whole-bunch fermentation. 12-16 days’ maceration. 8 months on lees.
Light to mid crimson. Aromas more intense than on the Beaujolais-Villages and more marked by red fruits with just a lightly herbal note of stems. Stemmy character on the palate gives lovely freshness and balances with the scented red fruit. Lively, bright and mouth-watering. Moderate intensity and persistence. A slightly earthy aftertaste. Light but perceptible tannins.” 16 Points Jancis Robinson
